iCORE helps fund wireless research appointments

Alberta has strengthened the research platform for unfolding information and communications technology (ICT) strategy with the appointment of three professors under its iCORE (Informatics Circle of Research Excellence) program. As part of a move to build critical mass in wireless internetworking, three professors have been appointed at the Univ of Calgary under the program: Dr Graham Jullien (advanced information processing); Dr GĂ©rard Lachap-elle (wireless location research); and, Dr Carey Williamson (broadband wireless networks). iCORE funding of $8 million over five years will be matched with grants and industry support....
