Hector MacKay-Dunn has been appointed chair of the BC Innovation Council (BCIC). MacKay-Dunn is a lawyer with more than 25 years of experience and is a senior partner with Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy. His expertise lies in advising senior public and early-stage private companies in industries such as semi-conductor, software, e-business, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. MacKay-Dunn is a director of several organizations including Genome British Columbia, Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corp, BC Leading Edge Endowment Fund and BC Biotech. He is a member of the Univ of British Columbia’s advisory council to the science dean. BCIC is the successor to the Innovation and Science Council of BC and the BC Advanced Systems Institute, supporting applied research and commercialization of S&T….
