FedDev Ontario invests $12.7 million in ArcelorMittal

The federal government has invested $12.7 million in Woodstock ON-based ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Americas Ltd (AMTB) to assist in the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies. The funding flows through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. AMTB will use the funding to adopt robotic laser-welding technologies used for the production of auto parts. AMTB is a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based ArcelorMittal SA, a multinational steel manufacturing corporation….
