Dspfactory receives $4.4 million in TPC assistance

DSPfactory Ltd of Waterloo ON has received $4.6 million from Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) to develop a new generation of ultra low power digital signal processing (DSP) chips for use in a wide variety of applications. The fabless semiconductor company specializes in the development of low power, programmable DSP technology for use in hearing aids, headsets, portable wireless sensors, discreet security systems, advanced remote monitoring systems and voice command for personal digital assistants.
