Dr Yves Alarie has been appointed to a five-year term as director of Research, Development and Creativity at Laurentian Univ. A professor in Laurentian's biology department since 1993, Alarie specializes in cladistics, aquatic insects, evolution, freshwater ecology and systematics. He holds a BA (Laval), BSc, MSc (Univ du Québec à Trois-Rivièr) and PhD (Univ of Montreal)....
