Dr Terrance Snutch

Dr Terrance Snutch has been appointed to the governing council of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) for a three-year term. Snutch is an internationally renowned neuroscience researcher at the Univ of British Columbia. He holds a Canada Research Chair and is a professor in the departments of psychiatry and zoology and the Brain Research Centre. As head of the Snutch Lab, he leads research into the study of the molecular mechanisms of signal transduction in the nervous system and its relationship to neurological disorders. Snutch is the co-founder of Neuromed Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a successful biotechnology spin-off from UBC. He holds a BSc in biochemistry and a PhD in molecular biology from Simon Fraser Univ….
