Dr Peter Kovitz

Dr Peter Kovitz has been appointed to the newly created position of senior VP innovation at MDS Nordion. Kovitz will lead the Kanata ON-based firm's global efforts to develop and implement new strategies and identify complementary business opportunities. He will report to MDS president Steve West and be a member of the executive management team and scientific advisory board. Kovitz comes to MDS from the National Cancer Institute, Bethesda MD, where he was COO of its Centre for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology.
