Dr Monique Haakensen

Dr Monique Haakensen has also been appointed to STIC. At 31, Haakensen is the youngest person appointed to the council. She is president and principal scientist of Cantango Strategies, a fee-for-service laboratory that works with oils and gas companies to remove contaminants from soil, sediment and water. Haakensen is also an adjunct professor in the Univ of Saskatoon's School of Environment and Sustainability and an advisor to graduates in several departments.
