Dr James Blatz has been appointed to the governing council of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). Blatz is associate head and associate professor at the Univ of Manitoba's department of civil engineering and principal of Blatz Engineering,a consulting firm. In 2000-01, he was an NSERC post-doctoral fellow at the GeoEngineering Centre at Queen's Univ-Royal Military College of Canada....
