Dr Ian Potter

Dr Ian Potter will be joining the ranks of National Research Council executives within a month, as VP engineering. Potter is chief operating officer of Alberta Innovates — Technology Futures and president and chair of Innoventures Canada (I-CAN). He was previously the director of Sustainable Energy Futures, Alberta Research Council, under then president John McDougall, now the president of NRC. Potter will remain in Edmonton, working out of the National Institute for Nanotechnology with responsibility for NRC institutes coast to coast.....
