Dr Elizabeth Cannon has been appointed board chair of Universities Canada for a two-year term. Cannon is president and vice-chancellor of the Univ of Calgary — positions she has held since 2010. A researcher in geomatics engineering, she has worked in industrial and academic environments on research into global positioning systems. Cannon replaces Dr David Barnard, president and vice-chancellor of the Univ of Manitoba....
