Dr Barbara Sherwood Lollar has been appointed to a three-year term on the governing council of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council. A cross-appointed professor of geology at the Univ of Toronto, she is a world authority in the field of isotope geochemistry and the winner of many awards. Sherwood Lollar received a BA (geological sciences) from Harvard Univ in 1985 and a PhD (earth sciences) from the Univ of Waterloo in 1990....
