CrossOff Inc, Halifax, has added a R&D division to its technology holdings with the acquisition of Los Angeles-based DNA Technologies Inc, a developer of technology that combines identifiable gene segments into ink that can be used as a security marker. The all-stock transaction will see CrossOff move DNA’s R&D operations to Halifax. The deal also sees CrossOff acquire patents relating to labelling techniques for countering product diversion and counterfeiting. CrossOff already has operating units focused on registry and database management, technology training, software development and consulting and property management. FMI: www.crossoff.com….
