Conference Board issues corporate innovation index

The Conference Board of Canada (CBoC) has introduced an Index of Corporate Innovation (ICI), a multi-year project that will allow firms to measure their innovation capacity and assess and improve their innovation performance. The comprehensive set of measures is also designed to allow firms to benchmark performance against other organizations and motivate organizations and leaders by publicly acknowledging superior innovators. As the ICI develops, CBoC will modify the tool to permit customization, build larger samples of statistically valid benchmarking. It will eventually issue benchmarking reports and rankings. The ICI was unveiled November 24 at the National Innovation Summit in Toronto….
