CCRM adds Sernova to industry-based consortium

The Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine (CCRM) — a Network of Centres of Excellence — has added a new member to its industry consortium, bringing the number of member companies to more than 20. Sernova Corp, London ON, will bring its expertise in cell therapy for the treatment of chronic diseases to CCRM. The firm has developed a Cell Pouch System for transplanting therapeutic cells into an implanted medical device, adding value to CCRM's core development platforms for cell reprogramming and engineering, cell manufacturing and biomaterials and devices. The NCE?is based at Toronto's Discovery District and was launched in June/11....
