CANARIE facilitates OICR cancer research efforts

The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) has linked with the CANARIE Network to share and access large data sets generated to develop genetic markers for pancreatic cancer. The OICR will use CANARIE's high-speed research and education network to share its data sets with researchers around the world through the International Cancer Genome Consortium. The data sets are more than one terabyte in size and are used to help classify tumours and develop new diagnostic tools and targeted treatments….
