Barry Heck

Barry Heck has been appointed president, CEO and board member of The Westaim Corp, replacing veteran president Kevin Jenkins, who abruptly left Westaim early this month. Prior to moving into the president’s suite, Heck was senior VP, a position he held since 1996. He was also appointed president of iFire Technology Inc last year, following an executive shake-up at the wholly owned subsidiary. Prior to 1996, Heck was VP, general counsel and corporate secretary of Viridian Inc, another Westaim subsidiary. iFire has now appointed Anthony Johnston as its new president.
