ACOA invests in Neurodyn for Parkinson's treatment

The business development program of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency is investing $459,000 in Neurodyn Inc to support development of two natural products for the treatment of neurological diseases such as Parkinson's. Neurodyn, which is BC based but has R&D operations in Charlottetown PEI, utilizes a portfolio approach to identify, validate, and develop bioactives. For this project it is using ginsenosides from ginseng that shows evidence of protection for early-stage Parkinson's disease. Neurodyn is part of the PEI Biosciences Cluster, which has 38 companies and employs more than 1,000 peopleā€¦.
