$58.2M awarded for PSE infrastructure renewal

The Univ of British Columbia is receiving $39.7 million from the federal government and $11.8 million from the provincial government through the Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund (SIF) — a $2-billion, three-year post-secondary infrastructure program. The total investments will go towards three UBC projects: renew and replace facilities at the Undergraduate Life Sciences Teaching Labs at the Biological Sciences Complex ($44.3 million); construction of the new Chan Gunn Pavilion, an interdisciplinary hub to advance innovations in physical activity and exercise medicine ($4.7 million); and expansion of the Centre of Excellence for Simulation Education and Innovation at Vancouver General Hospital ($2.5 million)....
