U of S opens first pulse crop laboratory

The Univ of Saskatchewan has opened a new $3-million laboratory dedicated to the pulse crop industry (peas, beans, lentils, chick peas, etc). The 1,200-sq-m laboratory is an addition to the university’s crop science field laboratory and is the result of efforts by the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers industry association. Pulse crops are the third most important provincial crop export with up to five million acres planted annually....
