TPC LAUNCHES TWO PILOT AEROSPACE PROGRAMS

Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) has launched two three-year pilot programs designed to assist small- and medium-sized aerospace and defence companies grab a larger share of global aerospace business. The TPC Aerospace and Defence Supplier Development Initiative is budgeted at $30 million over three years and is aimed at strengthening the manufacturing and management systems of small firms. Eligible costs for approved programs must be under $2 million with TPC picking up 40-50% of the tab. The Canadian Aerospace Collaborative Technology Development Program has a $9 million budget over three years and is designed to address R&D priorities identified through Industry Canada's Technology Road Map process.
