OBI contributed $2.5M to Focus on Brain initiative

The Ontario Brain Institute (OBI) has announced a $2.5-million contribution to the Focus on Brain initiative recently launched by the Quebec Consortium for Drug Discovery (CQDM) and Brain Canada (R$, June 16/14). The initiative now has $12.5 million to invest in applied R&D neuroscience projects, with OBI funding devoted to projects with Ontario participation. The Ontario Centres of Excellence program is also providing $500,000 to fund the Ontario portion of CDQM's Explore program. It supports early concept validation of cutting edge technologies, computational tools, novel approaches, techniques and devices underpinning the drug discovery process....
