NRC commercialization centres re-announced

Industry Canada is re-announcing six National Research Council (NRC) commercialization centres and is positioning some of them as new models for public-private partnership. Funding comes from a variety of federal sources including the NRC itself and Industry Canada’s regional economic development agencies. The centres are: Aluminium Technology Centre in Chicoutimi ($57 million), Photonics Fabrication Centre in Ottawa ($43 million), Institute for Nutrisciences and Health in Charlottetown ($11.5 million), Centre for the Commercialization of Biomedical Technology in Winnipeg ($11.2 million), E-Business Industry Partnership Facility at the Institute for Information Technology in Fredericton ($7.8 million) and Hydrogen Technology Environmental Demonstration Chamber at the Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation ($2 million)….
