The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) has launched the first provincial research platform development program of its kind in Canada. MSFHR will fund six platforms from a slate of 38 proposals, with each receiving up to $1 million over two years. The successful technology and methodology platforms are: BC BioLibrary, BC Proteomics Network, Centre for Drug Research and Development (R$, December 11/06), BC Clinical Genomics Network, PLATPhORM for Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Rapid Monitoring, and Population Health Data Access and Analysis Platform. The platforms are intended to be shared to support more researchers and make more effective use of BC health research investments. A detailed description of the platforms can be found at www.msfhr.org....
