Mark Cory

Mark Cory has been appointed assistant DM earth sciences, replacing Irwin Itzkovitch who is retiring. Cory comes to NRCan from the Public Service Human Resources Management Agency, where he was VP of The Leadership Network. Other previously held positions include assistant DM market and industry services at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and associate DM, operations sector, Industry Canada. Itzkovitch leaves the department after six years, ending a distinguished career in government, academia and the private sector. The latter included senior positions with INCO, Eldorado Nuclear, Sherritt Gordon and Noranda Inc. Also retiring is Gary Nash, assistant DM mines and minerals.
