John Molloy has been appointed executive chairman of ABcann Medicinals, a Napanee ON-based developer and grower of medical marijuana. Molloy was president and CEO of PARTEQ Innovations — the technology transfer arm of Queen's Univ — for more than 27 years before stepping down last year (R$, June 21/13). (He was replaced on a permanent basis in March by Jim Banting). The ABcann appointment is the second Molloy has accepted since leaving PARTEQ. Earlier this year he became the inaugural executive director of the new Southeastern Ontario Angel Network (SOAN). He holds a B admin degree from Royal Military College and an MBA from Queen's Univ….
