Israel and Canada pledge renewed funding for CIIRDF

The governments of Canada and Israel signed a joint declaration on April 7 expressing their intent to renew support for the Canada-Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation (CIIRDF). The organization was last renewed in 1999 for five years between FY00-01 and FY04-05. It received $1 million annually from each government to provide seed funding for basic technological R&D projects and joint Canadian-Israeli projects by small- and medium-sized companies. The last projects approved by CIIRDF were announced in January/04….
