GMA Cover Corp launches camouflage R&D project

Guelph ON-based GMA Cover Corp has received $4.8 million in assistance to develop a line of lightweight, multi-spectral camouflage screens for military use. The assistance from Technology Partnerships Canada helps to finance an R&D project developing a palette of camouflage elements that can be reconfigured to suit changes in background. GMA Cover hopes to become a world leader in the field of spectral management as it relates to camouflage. The R&D project will develop thin film sheets with specific electro-optic properties that defeat a broader spectrum of military surveillance radiation wavebands....
