Dr Michel Jébrak

Dr Michel Jébrak has been appointed president of the Conseil de la Science et de la Technologie (CST) effective this month. Jébrak comes to the CST from the Univ of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) where he held a number of senior positions including dean of science, VP research and art and director of several research groups including nanotechnology, computer science, climate change and electronic arts. An internationally renowned expert in the geology of mineral resources, he holds two doctorates in mineral exploration and science from Orléans Univ, France. Over a long career, Jébrak has worked for the geological surveys of Morocco and France and has conducted resource assessments in several African countries and the Middle East. Private sector experience is also extensive....
