Dr David Lizius

Dr David Lizius has been appointed president and CEO of COM DEV Canada, the Ottawa-based division of COM DEV International Ltd, Cambridge ON. Lizius replaces George Cwynar, a veteran high-tech executive and former CEO of Mosaid Technologies who left abruptly after 18 months at COM DEV to "pursue other opportunities". Lizius has 30 years of experience in the space industry, and has been with COM DEV since 1997. In 2006, he relocated to El Segundo, CA to create the COM DEV USA division. He began his career with Marconi Space Systems (now Astrium, the aerospace subsidiary of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company) and also worked at the UK Atomic Energy.
