Clean tech firms receive BDC convertible notes

Vancouver-based Foresight Clean Technology Accelerator and BDC Capital have announced the first two companies to receive assistance under BDC's convertible note program. Dark Vision Technologies, Vancouver, and Pyrowave Inc, Oakville ON were provided with $250,000 in pre-series A financing, which must be matched by angel and institutional investors for a minimum total financing of $500,000. The notes can subsequently be converted into shares. Dark Vision has developed downhole imaging technology for the oil and gas sector, while Pyrowave has developed proprietary technology for use by plastic waste recyclers and plastic waste producers....
