BC-China projects receive $4 million in funding

A joint British Columbia-China program has announced $4 million in funding for eight projects aligned with priority areas in the province's new Research and Innovation Strategy (R$, July 3/07). The projects were funded under the Innovation and Commercialization Strategic Development Program (ICSD), an initiative of the BC Innovation Council. The majority of projects are university-to-university collaborations although other organizations are involved including the National Research Council, Environment Canada, Canadian Forest Service and Canadian Organic Greenhouse Association. The ICSD program is the first initiative developed under a 2006 MOU between the two organizations....
